Music for Christmas in Fetcham Village

Hits: 224

The FRA has put together an exciting series of outdoor events in the village centre as Christmas approaches and everyone is warmly invited.

In association with Mole Valley District Council, Fetcham will be hosting the Mole Valley Silver Band from 12 to 2pm on Saturday November 27th.

The following Friday evening (December 3rd) from 4.30 pm, we will be turning on the Christmas lights in the village with the help of Father Christmas.

Afterwards we will be singing traditional carols around the tree with the help of singers and musicians from St Mary’s Church.

On Saturday December 4th from 12 to 2pm you can enjoy the sounds of the Martineau Brass Quintet as you shop.  The FRA’s Sue Joyce is also providing a cake stall.

On Saturday December 11th from 12 to 2pm we have a return visit from the Mole Valley Silver Band.

Finally, on Saturday December 18th from 1.30 to 3.30 you will be able to listen to the harmonies of the Midwinter Singers.

Many of the shops have picked up on our chosen theme of The Twelve Days of Christmas with window decorations.  And if you have any spare energy we will be putting together an ‘Elf Trail’ with clues to download from our website.

All events are free and we look forward to seeing you there. Our thanks to Sara Gyngell and the FRA events team for their organisation.
