Cock Lane playground – have your say

A major upgrade is being planned for the children’s playground at the Cock Lane Recreation Ground and the District Council wants to know what you, or your children, would like to see.

Mole Valley is hoping the work – with a projected budget of £90,000 – can be completed by the beginning of the summer holidays in July.

It’s launched a consultation which will be open until Friday February 18th.

The council wants to hear your ideas on the style, theme and types of play equipment you would like to see installed.  The target age range is from toddlers up to 12 years.

The refurbishment scheme follows the withdrawal of plans last year by the community-led Greenhouse Project for a new Scout HQ and meeting rooms on the site.

  1. It would be great to see some more bits for toddlers! Could it have a theme of creepy crawlers or wildlife? Even something like Harry Potter or David Attenborough with different animals and a quote about saving the planet would be amazing ! Perhaps aim towards younger children so we get less teens hanging around there. Some smaller slides perhaps, a sunken trampoline? I would love a garden but would take a bit to maintain I suppose.
