Police warn of Coronavirus scammers

Surrey Police are warning that fraudsters claiming to be from HMRC are calling residents purporting to offer financial support because of Coronavirus.

The police advice if you receive a call such as this is unequivocal:

"If you receive a text, email or call claiming to be from HMRC that asks you to click on a link or give info such as your name, credit card or bank details, it's a scam."
